What you'll need
  • An honors college application
Who can apply
Entering Ogden Honors College freshmen with outstanding academics, leadership and service, including international Honors applicants. The Honors page expressly says all Honors applicants are considered for Chancellor's Alumni; a general aid restriction concerns traditional freshman awards.
Good to know
The current Honors page states December 1, 2026 priority, required Honors writing sample and consideration of international applicants for the named Chancellor's Alumni award. A general LSU aid page separately restricts international students for traditional freshman awards, a different award category. The award covers full cost of attendance; undated approximate annual dollar estimates are excluded from this value summary. The retention policy calls the award President's Alumni, formerly Chancellor's Alumni; current Honors still uses Chancellor's Alumni. Renewal requires 3.0 cumulative GPA and 24 annual credits.
