First-year merit (University Scholars unconfirmed)
UnconfirmedCollege program
This is a real program, but some details for the current cycle are not published or not yet confirmed. Check the official source before you plan around it.
- Award
- First-year merit amounts vary; individual award values are not published. Merit ordinarily supports up to eight in-class undergraduate semesters, subject to the scholarship contract. The historical full-tuition University Scholars award is not confirmed.
- Deadline
- First-year merit consideration requires admission application by January 1 Regular Decision deadline (year unstated). Fall 2027 award-specific dates are unconfirmed.
- How to apply
- Automatic consideration with admission.
- What you'll need
- No separate application: you are considered when you apply for admission
- Who can apply
- First-year admission applicants with exceptional academics and achievements, including international applicants. General merit has no separate initial application; some named awards have additional requirements.
- Good to know
- Maintain full-time program enrollment, quantitative satisfactory academic progress and the GPA/service requirements in the individual merit contract. GPA shortfall allows one funded probationary semester. Current pages separately list a Stamps full-attendance-cost scholarship with an invited video application and mid-March selection; its precise award/renewal and international rules are not established here. Torch is a separate first-generation/access award, not confirmation of the old University Scholars program.
