ListedCollege program
Award
New York residents: $15,000 annually. International/nonresident students: up to $22,000 annually. Renew for four undergraduate years/eight semesters; coordinated with other aid within attendance costs.
Deadline
For Fall 2027, submit the separate Presidential Scholarship application through UB's applicant status page by January 4, 2027, after submitting admission. Honors recommends admission by November 1 for general scholarship priority, but that date is not identified as an extra Presidential cutoff.
How to apply
Submit UB admission first, then use the emailed applicant-status login to complete the separate Presidential application by January 4, 2027. Selected students accept the offer through the Honors College portal following the individual offer instructions.
What you'll need
  • A separate scholarship application
Who can apply
Top entering first-year students, including international and out-of-state students. No minimum high-school GPA/test criteria; SAT/ACT optional. Published 2024 class GPA ranges describe recipients, not thresholds.
Good to know
Remain Honors College enrolled, at least 12 credits each semester and complete 24 credits annually. Overall UB GPA at least 3.30 in the first year, then 3.50 in later years; reviewed after spring, with summer grades applied to the next review and only UB courses included. GPA failure ends the award unless an appeal is approved. Approved leave may preserve eligibility; residence changes can adjust the amount.
