- How to apply
- Receive a counselor/college advisor nomination or self-nominate to access the Levine application. Apply separately to UNC Charlotte by the scholarship’s admission deadline, including fee or waiver, official transcript, and admission essay. The Levine application requires three essay responses, extended answers, activities, and three online recommendations addressing academics, community service, and leadership. Admission recommendation letters are not shared with Levine. Finalists attend campus interviews.

- Who can apply
- U.S. citizens or permanent residents applying for first-year enrollment at UNC Charlotte in the fall immediately after high-school graduation. Gap-year students are not eligible. No minimum GPA is specified; SAT/ACT submission is optional. Admission to UNC Charlotte is required to receive the award.
- Good to know
- About 20 entering scholars annually. No required major, North Carolina residency, financial need, or minimum entry GPA. Published academic averages are not eligibility cutoffs. Levine is distinct from Honors; applicants seeking other Honors awards need the separate Honors application, while Levine semifinalists automatically enter University Honors. Numerical award renewal requirements are not stated on the public pages reviewed.
