Deadline
Fall 2027: final admission application December 1, 2026, supporting admission materials and official tests December 10, 2026. Optional Early Action October 15, 2026 with supporting materials October 22, 2026. Optional scholarship-interest form, expanded resume and essay due January 15, 2027. Semifinalists receive additional instructions; exact scholarship interview/weekend dates are unpublished.
How to apply
Apply for UT Austin admission for automatic initial consideration. Submit required admission essay/short answers, transcripts, official SAT/ACT or accepted CLT scores, and applicable major materials. The optional MyStatus Scholarship Interest Form adds an expanded resume/essay; no standalone initial scholarship application is required. Selected semifinalists complete additional materials/interviews and finalists participate in Finalist Weekend.

Who can apply
High-school seniors who are U.S. citizens or permanent U.S. residents at application. Both Texas residents and out-of-state students are eligible; transfer and international students are not.
Good to know
Fall 2027 admission dates and U.S. citizen/permanent-resident eligibility are confirmed. Applying to UT Austin automatically gives scholarship consideration. The optional interest form in MyStatus requests an expanded résumé and essay; additional selection instructions are sent to chosen applicants.
