President's Endowed (National Scholar component)

ListedCollege program
Award
$3,000 per year for four years ($12,000 total), plus a one-time $1,000 education-abroad award, as the President’s Endowed component of an eligible National Scholar package.
Deadline
Scholarship sections and STARS record due December 1. Fall 2027 cycle year and National Merit designation stages are not explicitly published here.
How to apply
Apply for fall freshman admission to College Station using Common App or ApplyTexas, complete both admission and scholarship sections, and submit STARS by the scholarship deadline. Who can apply
Fall-entering College Station freshmen who are National Merit Semifinalists or Finalists are guaranteed the listed President’s Endowed component under the current National Scholars page. Other President’s Endowed competitive routes are separate.
Good to know
This $3,000 annual component alone does not satisfy the published $4,000 eligible-scholarship threshold for a nonresident tuition waiver. National Merit Finalists may receive distinct $7,000 annual Recognition and $500 annual Sponsorship components under their own rules. Current numeric renewal conditions are not established; a 2018 university article reported a 3.5 GPA requirement, which is historical evidence only.
