How to apply
Complete the admission application plus Johnson supplemental essay, maximum 800 words, regardless of admission plan. Required admission materials include transcript, two teacher recommendations, counselor recommendation, and secondary-school report; test scores are optional. QuestBridge Finalists are automatically considered when their application is forwarded and need not submit the Johnson essay. Selected finalists interview during an all-expenses-paid campus selection event.

Who can apply
Incoming first-year applicants, including international applicants; selection considers academic achievement, leadership, integrity, and campus/civic contributions. Transfer applicants are not eligible under the published scholarship table. International admission requires English proficiency and applicable school-leaving results.

W&L confirms award coverage and summer enhancement. Its detailed instructions retain an older Class of 2029 test reference and a January 1 QuestBridge non-finalist exception; use the current general December 1, 2026 route unless W&L confirms the exception for Fall 2027.
