- Who can apply
- Out-of-state and international first-time freshmen entering in 2027-2028 and assessed nonresident tuition. Uses the higher of the six-semester transcript GPA or MSU-calculated core GPA. No test score is required for the tuition award. The tuition award starts at 3.3 GPA; the separately listed one-year housing award starts at 3.0 GPA with ACT 34 or SAT 1490.

- Cannot be combined with the National Merit packages or the Presidential Endowed Scholarship Package, or with non-resident waivers such as Academic Common Market. Renewal: 3.0 college GPA and 12 hours each semester.
