- Deadline
- For fall 2027, no separate scholarship deadline; awards are guaranteed to eligible students admitted by April 1, 2027.
- How to apply
- Automatic with admission; no scholarship application.
- What you'll need
- No separate application: you are considered when you apply for admission
- Who can apply
- Out-of-state first-time freshmen entering fall 2027. Awards use weighted GPA; qualifying transferable college credit from AP, IB, Cambridge or dual enrollment can replace test scores at specified levels. Border Benefit covers seven states, excluding the seven Southern Indiana counties already charged resident tuition. Regional Scholars covers all counties in CA, DE, NJ, PA, CT, MA and RI, DC, and specified counties in MD, NY and NH; residence or school attendance can qualify. F-1 students have a separate international program.
- Good to know
- Admissions scholarships do not stack; receive the highest eligible award. Students in 100% online programs are ineligible. The official page calls these awards renewable but does not publish their duration or detailed renewal requirements; review the award letter. Border Benefit is a tuition-rate reduction, so its approximately $16,000 value can change with tuition. The financial-aid leave-of-absence guidance confirms continuous full-time enrollment for National Scholars and Border Benefit recipients.
