Regents Scholarship
Merit + needCollege program
Financial need is part of how this award is decided, alongside merit.
- Award
- $7,500 per academic year for four years for selected first-year students, or two years for selected third-year students. A need-based stipend may accompany the award. Renewal requires a 3.25 GPA and good academic standing.
- Deadline
- Apply through the UC application by November 30, 2026 for fall 2027 admission. The UC Davis scholarship page displays a December 2 date without a year, which conflicts with the current UC system calendar.
- How to apply
- All UC Davis applicants are considered solely on the information in the UC application. Selected admitted students are notified with their admission offer.
- What you'll need
- No separate application: you are considered when you apply for admission
- Who can apply
- Students entering UC Davis as freshmen (junior transfers and continuing students entering junior year are also eligible). Selection is based on academic achievements and personal accomplishments rather than financial need.
- Good to know
- The base Regents award is merit-based; any additional stipend depends on demonstrated financial need. The current campus awards page confirms duration and renewal. The dedicated Regents page still shows an undated December 2 filing date that conflicts with the UC system's fall 2027 November 30, 2026 application deadline.
