Regents Scholarship for Entering Freshmen

- $20,000 scholarship paid at $5,000 per year for four undergraduate years, plus first-choice UC San Diego college assignment (subject to availability), priority enrollment, a first-quarter research program (Regents Scholar Research Initiative, subject to availability) and a faculty mentor program.
- Deadline
- File the UC Application for Admission and Scholarships by November 30, 2026 for fall 2027 admission. Recipients are notified when College Financing Plans become available.
- How to apply
- No other paperwork. Filing the UC application is the only step.

- No separate application: you are considered when you apply for admission

- Entering freshmen (California residents and non-residents) who are US citizens, permanent residents, or California Dream Act students, with demonstrated academic excellence.
