- Honorarium of up to $5,000 per year for 4 undergraduate years (up to $20,000 total), plus guaranteed housing and priority enrollment. Grant awards are based on financial need.

- File the UC application; to establish financial need, file the FAFSA or the California Dream Act Application. No other paperwork.

- No separate application: you are considered when you apply for admission
- Who can apply
- Entering first-year California residents who are US citizens, permanent residents, or California Dream Act students, with demonstrated academic excellence. Other factors include the personal statement, activities, first-generation status, and educational environment and economic background.
- Good to know
- Award amount is set by financial need. The housing guarantee requires meeting all housing deadlines. Scholars are expected to participate in a leadership development program with mentoring, professional skills and community service.
