Merit + needCollege programUp to tuition + housing
Financial need is part of how this award is decided, alongside merit.
- Award
- Archer Presidential Scholarship: full tuition, room, board, books and fees for about five first-year students, renewable for up to four years (eight semesters; five years for B.Arch.). Hearst Endowed Scholarship: one scholarship covering full tuition, room, board, books and fees.
- Deadline
- Complete the admission application by November 1, 2026 for fall 2027 top scholarship consideration. Finalists are notified in late November or early December and interview in late January. Top scholarship recipients must deposit by April 1, 2027.
- How to apply
- No additional steps at the initial stage. Candidates who first qualify for the Trustee Scholarship (currently $25,000) are considered; 12 to 15 finalists are invited to interview for the Archer award and about five for the Hearst award.
- What you'll need
- No separate application: you are considered when you apply for admission
- An interview
- A finalist round or selection weekend
- Who can apply
- First-year applicants to Belmont. These awards recognize about the top 1% of first-year applicants; a strong candidate typically has a cumulative GPA above 4.43 and an ACT of 34 or SAT of 1430 if a score is submitted (a typical profile, not a minimum).
- Good to know
- Demonstrated financial need may be considered for Archer; annual FAFSA is highly encouraged. Top university scholarships generally replace earlier general merit awards. Institutional aid requires full-time enrollment of at least 12 credits and satisfactory academic progress.
