Green and Gold Presidential Waiver Award (non-Florida residents)
UnconfirmedCollege program
This is a real program, but some details for the current cycle are not published or not yet confirmed. Check the official source before you plan around it.
- Award
- About $44,000 total, up to $11,000 per year, as an out-of-state tuition waiver. The fall 2027 international scholarship page retains this amount; the domestic non-Florida page still describes fall 2026. Lower tiers: Directors about $36,000 and Scholars about $20,000.
- Deadline
- Fall 2027 international applicants: complete freshman application by January 15, 2027. The domestic non-Florida page still gives January 15, 2026 for summer/fall 2026; its fall 2027 deadline is not confirmed.
- How to apply
- No separate application. Admitted first-time-in-college students are automatically considered when their complete application (application, test scores, STARS or transcript, fee) is in by the scholarship deadline.
- What you'll need
- No separate application: you are considered when you apply for admission
- Who can apply
- Admitted first-time-in-college students who are not Florida residents.
- Good to know
- Fall 2027 domestic terms and renewal policy are unconfirmed. The 2026-27 policy allows up to eight consecutive fall/spring semesters in four years, 12 USF credits per term, 30 USF credits annually and 3.0 USF GPA. Only nonresident tuition is covered and in-state reclassification cancels this waiver. Admissions pages prohibit combining tuition waivers, while the aid terms allow another out-of-state waiver up to the tuition charge; confirm stacking with USF.
