How to apply

No separate application for competitive merit scholarships. Submit admission application, fee, transcript and official test scores by the published admission-based scholarship deadline; AUSOM is optional for additional institutional scholarships.

What you'll need

• No separate application: you are considered when you apply for admission

Who can apply

Alabama residents enrolling in summer or fall immediately after high school graduation. The historical fall 2026 Presidential Excellence chart requires at least 4.0 weighted high school GPA and ACT 35-36 or SAT equivalent. Auburn recalculates GPA scales outside its 4.0 weighted or 100-point standards.

Good to know

Fall 2027 criteria and amounts remain unconfirmed. The fall 2026 chart is a funding-dependent guide, not a guarantee. Professional, program and course fees are excluded from full resident tuition and mandatory student services fees. Competitive merit renews for up to eight semesters with a 3.0 cumulative unadjusted Auburn GPA and 24 Auburn credits per academic year.
