- How to apply
- Apply for admission by the Fall 2027 scholarship priority date, become a National Merit Finalist, designate UNR first choice before May 1, 2027, and accept admission in MyNEVADA. Confirm the National Merit admission-acceptance date for your entering cycle.
- Who can apply
- Entering freshmen who are National Merit Finalists and designate UNR first choice. NMSC entry rules allow students attending high school in the United States, D.C. or U.S. territories without a universal citizenship requirement. Students attending high school abroad must meet the separate citizenship or permanent-residence requirements.
- Good to know
- Renewal requires a 3.50 UNR cumulative GPA and 15 completed credits each fall and spring. National Merit Scholars cannot receive Pack Promise+, FSEOG or State Access grants. The National Merit page does not name an entry year and says both $20,000 annually and up to $20,000.
