- How to apply
- Apply to ORU as a National Merit Finalist. Finalists are automatically invited to a full-tuition Quest interview; published Quest competition guidelines also require admission, a non-family nomination and a Quest essay. Confirm how these steps apply to the automatic Finalist invitation.
- What you'll need
- No separate application: you are considered when you apply for admission
- Who can apply
- National Merit Finalists admitted to ORU. Quest rules require an eligible new high school senior, recent graduate or transfer applicant pursuing full-time undergraduate residential study; returning ORU students and NCAA Division I athletic-aid recipients are excluded from Quest. NMSC entry rules allow students attending high school in the United States, D.C. or U.S. territories without a universal citizenship requirement. Students attending high school abroad must meet the separate citizenship or permanent-residence requirements.
- Good to know
- The National Merit section does not name an entry year or clarify whether $25,000 is annual. Quest runs up to four years of continuous full-time undergraduate residential enrollment, with 2.0 GPA for awards below full tuition and 3.0 for full tuition, probation provisions and good-standing requirements. Residential or virtual-program changes can reduce Quest by 25%; separate room-award renewal conditions are not stated.
