- $2,500 per year, renewable for up to four years.
- Deadline
- Fall 2027 admission: Early Decision or Early Action I by November 1, 2026, or Early Action II by December 1, 2026. Separate Scholarship Day application by February 1, 2027.
- How to apply
- Apply through the Common Application with an essay, official high-school transcript and a counselor or core-teacher recommendation; test scores are optional. Submit the separate Creative Writing Scholarship application and writing work in the applicant portal. Selected finalists participate in Scholarship Day; international students may interview virtually if needed.

- Early Action or Early Decision applicants accepted to the fall class who plan to major or minor in English or creative writing.
- Good to know
- Renewal requires a 2.0 GPA and either a creative writing course or at least one semester as a student editor of The Crucible. International students are eligible, but this award does not reduce their required financial contribution. INspire participants cannot receive additional funding above full tuition.
