Academic Merit Scholarships (Gold, Three Crowns, Dean's, President's, Excellence)

Award

$25,000-$42,000 annually: Gold $25,000; Three Crowns $31,000; Dean's $35,000; President's $40,000; Excellence $42,000.

Deadline

No separate merit application. 2027 admission timeline lists November 1 Early Action and rolling review beginning December 1.

How to apply

Submit Gustavus Application or Common App and high-school transcript. Essay and test scores are optional. Scholarships are offered with admission.

Who can apply

Full-time first-year students evaluated using official unweighted high-school GPA, talent and other college criteria; one academic merit award per student.

Good to know

Need is not required. Award remains fixed for up to four years/eight semesters of continuous full-time study with SAP and good standing. Separate $30,000/year Gustie Guarantee requires FAFSA and is not used as the merit minimum here.
