- Award
- $1,000-$3,000 per year, maximum four years: $3,000 for GPA 3.98-4.0 or GPA 3.0+ with ACT 30+/SAT 1370+; $2,000 GPA 3.8-3.97; $1,500 GPA 3.65-3.79; $1,000 GPA 3.0-3.64.
- Deadline
- Guaranteed confirmation requires final official transcript and scores where applicable by July 1, year not printed. Separate additional scholarship application has February 1, 2027 incoming freshman deadline.

- Apply for admission and meet final transcript/score criteria. Complete NDSU scholarship portal application to maximize separate scholarship opportunities.

- No separate application: you are considered when you apply for admission

- Admitted first-year students meeting academic and transcript deadlines; qualifying GPA-only and GPA-plus-test routes published.
- Good to know
- Higher renewable award replaces guaranteed minimum, not cumulative. FAFSA is not required for merit scholarship consideration. University page's separate scholarship timetable has first round December 1 and second round February 1.
