- How to apply
- Submit one original unpublished English response, maximum 250 words: explain how you would answer someone who says education or college is a waste. Include contact/background/academic details; no revisions. Four equally weighted judging criteria: writing, creativity, originality and overall excellence. Potential winners return affidavit, release and copyright assignment within ten days; minor parent/guardian signs.

- Legal residents of the fifty U.S. states or D.C., age 14 or older, enrolled or enrolling by fall 2031 at an accredited college, university or trade school. Sponsor employees/agents, immediate families and same-household residents excluded.
- Good to know
- Submission publishing rights and copyrights transfer to Unigo; winner name/likeness promotion and tax/identity documents may be required. Current headline and formal prize amounts conflict.
