- How to apply
- Register 1-5 students and adult coach in ICS; submit scenario responses and participant/coach waivers. Advancing teams submit an infographic, anonymous risk-modeling report no more than 28 pages including all sections/references/appendices, then updated report and video no more than ten minutes with virtual symposium Q&A. Coaches may guide but cannot write/edit report or create figures.
- Who can apply
- Ages 13-19 on August 1, 2026, usually grades 11-12 with an eligible advanced math course. Grades 9-10 need teacher/parent petition and approval; below grade 9 excluded. U.S./territory high school; rules also allow U.S. citizens/PR attending abroad with specified U.S.-time meeting/internet availability. One team/student. Prior first-place students cannot win again; past topics cannot be reused.
- Good to know
- Rules also exclude sponsor/administration employees and immediate family. Adult coaches at least 18, not participating students. Current main team-prize terms are distinct from university partner awards; some partner entries remain older cycle.
