- Award
- 2026 prizes for three vocal and three instrumental winners: $10,000, $5,000 and $3,000
- Deadline
- The 2026 deadline was April 20, 2026 at 5 PM Central according to the main page and packet instructions; one packet footer conflicts. No 2027 dates are posted.
- How to apply
- Latest rules require one category, vocal or instrumental, a signed application with parent approval, two contrasting concert-quality recordings and a statement of musical intent. The site offers an online form, while the packet directs applicants to request a Dropbox from the organizer. Ten semifinalists in each category must travel to Clarinda for live competition, a required meeting, and the winners’ stage show.
