- How to apply
- Register on Acceptd from November 1, 2026 and upload unedited, fixed-camera performance videos by December 2 at 3 PM Eastern. Show the performer’s full body and instrument, with the live pianist visible where accompaniment is required; YouTube links are not accepted. Submit all registered repertoire, which cannot change between rounds. Seven finalists per category perform live in St. Louis; the senior rehearsal, competition and winners’ concert are April 2, 3 and 4, 2027.

- Who can apply
- Brass players (trumpet, horn, euphonium, trombone or tuba) and singers ages 15 to 18 on January 1, 2027, studying with a teacher. Entrants must reside in the U.S. during the competition year and be U.S. citizens, valid U.S. visa holders, asylees or permanent residents. Under-18 entrants need parent permission. Previous national first-place winners cannot reenter the same level and category.

- Nonrefundable $150 entry fee includes Acceptd. Teacher membership must be paid before registration or a $200 nonmember teacher fee applies. Entrants pay travel and lodging; optional official national pianists cost $150 for instrumentalists or $100 for singers. Winners must perform in the winners’ concert to receive money. Brass repertoire spans two periods (30-minute limit); voice uses four specified classical selections, memorized (15-minute limit).
