- 2027 Gold $10,000, Silver $7,000 and Bronze $5,000, each with an orchestra performance award; medal prize money is paid half after competition and half after the performance award concert. Bach Prize $2,000; the other nine semifinalists receive $1,000 each.

- How to apply
- Submit through Acceptd with a nonrefundable $150 credit-card fee and one unedited video, at most 20 minutes, of one eligible solo work originally written for your instrument and orchestra. Perform from memory with live piano/orchestra accompaniment; no digital accompaniment or identifying names/school/teacher on the video. Recording must be from February 1, 2026 or later. If selected, keep the audition repertoire for live semifinals and prepare the required solo Bach selection.

- Who can apply
- Violinists, violists, cellists and double bassists age 19 or under as of January 1, 2027. Current students of the 2027 judges are ineligible.
- Good to know
- The full current 2027 application guidelines are published. Twelve semifinalists and four ranked alternates are selected; six advance to finals. Medalists have later concerto performance commitments, which determine payment of the second half of the cash award.
