Each of four 2026 quarterly contests awards four $8,000 college scholarships, two written-essay and two video-essay winners. Paid to the designated accredited nonprofit U.S. undergraduate college; use fully by the end of 2027-28 for tuition/books/room/board or other college expenses. Unused funds may be forfeited; no graduate-school use.

How to apply
Complete the online quarterly application using program key RidingForward and submit one English written essay of at most 500 words OR an English video of at most three minutes about a personally known community member who inspired you. Minors need guardian electronic consent, including Mississippi residents under 21. Video must show only you, contain no music or third-party logos, and be an accepted format up to 1 GB. Winners supply a notarized affidavit/release/copyright assignment, current transcript and photo.

Who can apply
Legal U.S. residents of AL, AR, FL, GA, IA, IL, IN, KY, LA, MS, MO, NC, SC, TN or TX, age at least 16, with at least one year or 18 semester hours before undergraduate graduation. Students not yet in college must start by 2027-28. Cumulative school GPA at least 2.0, or good standing/equivalent if the school gives no GPA. No Regions account or purchase required. One entry per quarter and one win in the entire 2026 contest.
Good to know
Independent judges score inspiration 50%, originality/creativity 25% and quality 25%; no vote or random drawing. Work must be original, unpublished, not previously awarded or entered in another competition, and created without AI. Regions receives broad usage rights; winners may need the subject's publicity release and an eligibility/background check. These verified rules are for the remaining 2026 quarterly contests and expressly allow college entry in 2027-28.
