USD Music Scholarship: $540 to $15,000. Choral Scholars Scholarship: $1,200 to $10,000.
Deadline
USD Music says spring 2027 scholarship and audition dates are coming soon. A general undergraduate aid page lists February 1 for Choral Scholars applications but gives no cycle year; confirm the dated 2027 notice.
How to apply
For Choral Scholars audition interest, contact music@sandiego.edu; the Music Department will publish the spring 2027 process. Instrumental applicants prepare one significant work or two contrasting pieces, scales and sight-reading; percussionists prepare mallet and another instrument. Vocal applicants prepare two contrasting memorized selections, each at most five minutes, from classical/art song or musical theater; live piano or piano-only backing is accepted.

Who can apply
USD Music Scholarship: incoming or continuing music majors who excel in performance, composition, education or music research. Choral Scholars: music majors or comprehensive minors.
Good to know
Incoming first-year music awards cover four years; transfer and continuing awards cover shorter periods. Maintain the music major except Choral Scholars, make progress toward coursework and remain in good academic standing. Choral Scholars additionally requires annual reaudition and a 3.0 GPA.
