- Submit the online application, biography, headshot and high-quality unedited video or unlisted YouTube links; pay $10. Perform from memory with live piano accompaniment: Italian Baroque/Classical aria or art song; contrasting Italian/German/French aria or art song; English art song; musical-theatre song; American folk song. Announce titles and composers, following the rule’s 15- to 20-minute maximum program instruction.

- Who can apply
- Singers in grades 10 to 12 who have not reached their 19th birthday by the application deadline. NFMC Junior Division members (individual or through a federated club) who are U.S. citizens (native-born or naturalized).
- Good to know
- The award supports further musical study. Prior first-place winners cannot reenter or enter multiple NFMC divisions in one year.
