- Submit the online application, memorized 10- to 15-minute piano-solo recording and repertoire list with composer nationalities together, and pay $10. Include contrasting periods and at least one American composition; no concerti.

- Who can apply
- Pianists in grades 10 to 12 who are under 19 by March 1, NFMC Junior members and U.S. citizens. Prior first-place winners cannot reenter the same award; enter only one NFMC division per year.
- Good to know
- Only original piano-solo repertoire is normally accepted; limited faithful transcriptions are allowed when period repertoire is unavailable.
