- Submit the online application, memorized concerto recording with orchestra or second piano, two recommendations and music-school acceptance for the following academic year together. Perform a first or last movement from a Senior Class Piano Concerto in the current Federation Festivals Bulletin. Pay $10 online.

- Who can apply
- Graduating high school seniors under 19 by May 1 who will attend college, university or conservatory as a music major, are NFMC Junior members and U.S. citizens. Prior first-place winners cannot reenter the same award; enter only one NFMC division per year.

- College acceptance and two recommendations are required.
