- Who can apply
- Washington residents, including undocumented applicants, with a Washington high school credential earned by June of the application year; no prior bachelor’s degree. Requires cumulative 2.75 GPA on a 4.0 scale or a passing GED score, income at or below 125% of Washington median family income, an approved major and Washington institution, and at least three credits each fall, winter and spring. Applicants with more than 90 quarter or 60 semester credits earned after high school are ineligible; dual-enrollment credits are excluded from this entry limit.
- Good to know
- Annual renewal requires the portal form and processed FAFSA/WASFA. Maintain the college’s satisfactory academic progress. Major and credit verification requires admission to an eligible major and 90 quarter or 60 semester credits by the individual portal deadline. Maximum funding is 18 quarters or 12 semesters, reduced by prior Washington College Grant terms; application grade limits time at the initial award rate. Twelve credits qualify for the full rate; three to eleven credits receive prorated funding. Other aid can reduce or eliminate the award.
