One-time nonrenewable $1,000-$2,500 award; five recipients per deadline. Paid directly to an accredited U.S. institution for costs/fees of the recipient's first year of postsecondary education. Underclassman funds held until enrollment.

How to apply
Register free, then submit a completed application, most recent unofficial high-school transcript or grade card and approximately 500-word essay on why college matters to you. Submit online or by email; all components must arrive together, with no incomplete-application notice. Awards do not depend on purchasing or using ACF services; no SAT/ACT required.

Who can apply
Current high-school grades 9-12, classes 2027-2030; U.S. citizen or eligible noncitizen. Financial need is not considered and all income levels qualify. The sponsor does not define eligible noncitizen on the accessible programme pages.
Good to know
Current October 31, 2026 deadline has no time/time zone. Winners selected by December 15, 2026. FAQ says all awards distributed by July 31, 2027 but separately says underclassman funds held until enrollment, so underclassman timing should be confirmed. Selected applicants consent to publication of award/application information.
