- Jan 1The Association page says to April 1. The 2027 cycle year and conflicting opening dates are not resolved.
- How to apply
- Inducted Thespians use separate joint applications by award family: Artists of the Future, Theatre Educators of the Future and Leaders of the Future. Linked portals require an EdTA account; public pages do not state the complete application materials for the next cycle.
- What you'll need
- A separate scholarship application
- Membership in the sponsoring organization
- Who can apply
- Inducted Thespians graduating high school, with award-specific rules. Hasija supports applicants traditionally underrepresented in theatre; the Association describes this as Black, Indigenous or people of color. Mark Drum is for Asian or Pacific Islander Thespians and also admits undergraduates. Engelsman requires a theatre or related major; Future Theatre Educator requires a theatre education major; Hunt requires a business or marketing degree and career; leadership awards require demonstrated leadership. Confirm each donor rule in the current application.
- Good to know
- This is a collection of distinct awards. College-only Gai Laing Jones scholarships, festival attendance aid, chapter awards and Thespy finalist awards have separate eligibility and applications. The current Foundation and Association pages differ on opening month and some background restrictions.
