- How to apply
- Apply online with one adult recommendation, transcript, SAT or ACT score, activities, household details, college plans and three brief essays. Submit the CSS Profile to JRF code 4248 for the main household and any applicable secondary/noncustodial-parent household. All components must arrive by the deadline; no extensions.

- Who can apply
- U.S. citizens graduating high school in spring 2027 and enrolling full time at an accredited JRF-approved four-year U.S. college or U.S.-affiliated university in fall 2027. The FAQ also permits students who graduated the prior year and have taken no college coursework. Applicants need academic excellence, leadership, community service and financial need and must not have accrued more than 25% of graduation credits.
- Good to know
- Financial need is required and evaluated individually without a universal published income cutoff. Athletics is not required. Scholars must perform and document community service throughout college. Home-schooled applicants can use a parent-issued transcript. The public pages do not state complete ongoing renewal criteria.
