UnconfirmedScholarship

This is a real program, but some details for the current cycle are not published or not yet confirmed. Check the official source before you plan around it.

Award
Two one-time $5,000 scholarships
Deadline
The posted 2024 application accepted postmarks from October 1 to March 31; a current-year application is not posted
How to apply
The linked PDF instructs applicants to email the completed application to Chairman@JewishScouting.org with one signed Scout-leader recommendation and one signed Rabbi/faith-leader recommendation. Use only the form space; extra resumes and attachments are not accepted. The form also retains postmark language, so submission timing needs clarification.
What you'll need
  • Recommendations
  • Membership in the sponsoring organization
Who can apply
Registered active Scouts BSA, Venturing, Exploring or Sea Scout members who are Eagle Scouts, active synagogue members and hold Ner Tamid or Etz Chaim. Must be in the final year at an accredited high school and demonstrate practical citizenship. One application per Scout. The form permits conditional consideration when rank or emblem is completed between April 1 and graduation.
Good to know
The form remains dated August 2024 and contains both email instructions and an October 1-March 31 postmark window. Weil offers two one-time $5,000 awards for an accredited bachelor's-degree-granting institution. Unlike Vernon and Arkans, Weil does not list financial need or FAFSA as requirements.
