- Award
- Academic awards generally range from $1,000 to $2,500 for tuition, books, or room and board at a postsecondary school. The Board of Governors award provides $2,500 each to two cadets; other amounts vary.
- Deadline
- Applications are projected to open December 15, 2026 at noon Central and close January 15, 2027 at noon Central, including unit and wing approval.
- How to apply
- In e-Services Registration Zone, submit the primary Scholarship application and at least one academic scholarship subevent, a resume of no more than two pages and one to three recommendations about your CAP accomplishments. Combine multiple documents of the same type; unit and wing leadership must approve before the deadline. Some awards require extra documents or an essay.

- Current active CAP cadets in good standing, with the Billy Mitchell Award or higher, who are high school seniors, graduates or GED holders and have applied to or been accepted by a postsecondary school. Enroll during the award year and maintain acceptable academic and discipline standards. No scholarship recipient from the preceding three years is eligible. Individual awards add requirements: Etheridge requires a B average; Schroder requires a STEM major and original essay; August Trust is for Arizona Wing STEM or aviation cadets; Diaz is restricted to listed Florida squadrons; Mullins is need-based for Michigan Wing cadets.
