- Apply online through apply.ametsoc.org with an unofficial high school transcript covering the last three years and exactly one recommendation from a teacher, counselor or professional reference. A school profile is optional; all application stages must be completed.

- U.S. citizens or permanent residents entering college full time in fall 2027, pursuing atmospheric or related oceanic or hydrologic sciences, with at least a 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale. Marine biology is excluded.
