- How to apply
- Submit one online application, professional-goals and HVAC&R-involvement answers, a financial-need statement, an official transcript sent directly by the school, college acceptance evidence and three signed recommendations from an instructor/advisor, employer and nonfamily character reference. Arrange a local ASHRAE chapter interview and evaluation; applicants under 18 need parent authorization. AI use is prohibited.

- High school seniors entering full time into a bachelor’s-level pre-engineering, engineering or engineering technology program preparing for HVAC&R work. Require at least a 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale OR top-30% class standing. The institution must host an active ASHRAE student branch, have ABET accreditation or an ABET memorandum, or qualifying international accreditation under the Washington or Sydney Accord. Financial need, character, leadership, service and professional potential are considered. Students already receiving full educational funding from an employer, military or other organization are excluded.
