- How to apply
- Ask your teacher to select you, then use the linked Google Form and media release. Submit an uninterrupted Spanish conversation with your teacher of up to five minutes on YouTube, a persuasive Spanish essay of no more than one typed page, a seven-semester transcript or signed teacher-and-parent senior-status statement, and one recommendation from a teacher, principal or counselor. Follow the required filenames.

- Who can apply
- Graduating seniors who scored at or above the 75th percentile on NSE/NPE in both 2024-25 and 2025-26 and take the exam in 2026-27. Only one applicant per teacher, selected from that teacher’s school. Must enter college, university or trade school the academic year immediately after graduation; no gap year. Applicants may also apply for SHH awards but may receive only one scholarship.
- Good to know
- The detailed 2027 rules make prior exam performance mandatory, although the overview only encourages medal winners to apply. Winners are notified by May 31, 2027.
