Dominion Energy Educational Equity Scholarship Program
Merit + needScholarship
Financial need is part of how this award is decided, alongside merit.
- Award
- Published amounts: $5,000 for two-year programs and $10,000 for four-year degrees; renewable up to three additional years or a bachelor's degree. Full-time enrollment, continued eligible-state residence and program continuation are required. Sponsor says renewal GPA 2.5; administrator says 2.0. Final 2027 award/renewal rules are not posted.
- Deadline
- 2027 dates are not posted. The sponsor lists March 12 at 4 p.m. Eastern/3 p.m. Central without a year; the administrator is closed and still labels information as tentative for 2026. Its recommendation is due within three business days after the application deadline under the displayed rules.
- How to apply
- Apply through Scholarship America when the next cycle opens. Published materials include a current complete transcript, first two pages of the most recent IRS 1040 with Social Security numbers redacted, one online recommendation and requested goals/community information. Supply a separate SAT/ACT report only if providing scores not shown on a high-school transcript. The full 2027 application is not published.
- What you'll need
- A separate scholarship application
- Recommendations
- Who can apply
- High school seniors, graduates or current undergraduates in CT, MD, NC, SC, VA or WV, planning full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two-/four-year college or vocational-technical school. The sponsor lists a 3.0 GPA minimum; the administrator's current eligibility list does not state a minimum and adds commitment to a welcoming community. Exact 2027 eligibility should be confirmed when the application opens.
- Good to know
- 80% of awards combine financial need and merit; 20% are merit only. The sponsor expressly states awards are without regard to race, ethnicity, religion, gender and other listed characteristics. Current official pages disagree on the renewal GPA and notification month, and final 2027 terms are not published.
