How to apply
Register and complete the online application with all required documents: transcript showing fall 2026 grades or dated after January 1, 2027, 2025 federal tax return or IRS nonfiling verification, qualifying military-service proof and a suitable photo. Upload each multi-page document as one merged file; no email/mail/fax submissions. Stepchildren, grandchildren, reservists and special cases may need additional proof. Renewals require annual reapplication and current transcript/taxes.
What you'll need
  • A separate scholarship application
Who can apply
Children/stepchildren of active, Reserve or honorably discharged veteran Marines, or specified Navy Corpsmen, Chaplains or Religious Program Specialists attached to Marine units; minimum 2.00 GPA and generally family AGI at most $134000 for 2025. Fallen-family income eligibility is waived; exceptional financial circumstances above the limit may be considered without guarantee. Must have high school diploma and no completed undergraduate degree by August 1, 2027; attend federally eligible accredited school, not a service academy. Part-time/online study is eligible; dual enrollment while in high school is excluded. Limited grandchild awards require membership proof for one of three named associations.
Good to know
Annual levels are $2500/$5000/$7500/$10000 based on need, GPA and funding; amounts can change each year. Up to four paid awards with annual reapplication, not necessarily consecutive; a fifth award may be considered subject to funding if graduating by June 2028. Funds cover eligible cost of attendance for that academic year only; unused funds must be returned. Fallen/wounded guarantees have specific service-event rules. The application’s dependency guidance contains an implausible birth-date cutoff, so confirm that classification rather than relying on it.
