ListedScholarship
- Award
- The linked 2026 application offers a $1000 scholarship for tuition, books and supplies during 2026-27. The current sponsor page gives 2027-28 use periods but does not publish that cycle’s amount or repeat-award terms.
- Deadline
- Application period runs November 1 to March 31 annually; awards apply to Fall 2027, Spring 2028 or Summer 2028.
- How to apply
- Use the official linked Kaleidoscope application when the correct cycle opens. Its still-labeled 2026 form requires two uploaded recommendations, school transcript(s) showing name/GPA and a hearing-professional audiogram no older than two years. College freshmen provide both high school and college transcripts. Current-cycle materials are unconfirmed.
- What you'll need
- A separate scholarship application
- Who can apply
- Current sponsor page requires U.S. citizenship, bilateral hearing loss of at least 40 dB verified by SRT/PTA audiogram and cumulative 3.2 GPA on a 4.0 unweighted scale. Seniors use grades 9-11 plus first grade-12 semester; freshmen include all high school plus first college semester. Current funds apply to fall 2027/spring or summer 2028, and graduates before the end of August 2027 are ineligible. The old 2026 form required full-time U.S. bachelor’s study and excluded associate, community-college, vocational and graduate programs; confirm those details for the new form.
- Good to know
- This is the Hard of Hearing or Deaf award, not Sertoma’s separate $1000 graduate communicative-disorders scholarship. The November 1-March 31 application schedule has no explicit year, and the linked application remains for 2026-27.
