Airmen Memorial Foundation Scholarship Program
DirectoryScholarship
This is a group of awards reached through one application. Each award inside it has its own rules.
- Award
- $1,000 to $5,000 (including the $5,000 Major General Alfred K. Flowers Scholarship and several $2,000 to $2,500 named awards)
- Deadline
- No dated 2027 cycle is published. The program section changes March 31 to April 15, but its upload/instruction pages and FAQ still require March 31. Confirm the controlling deadline before submitting; packages must reach headquarters by the applicable date.
- How to apply
- Current instructions require signed application and instruction sheet, sponsor service proof, applicable college acceptance letter, official transcripts with GPA converted to unweighted 4.0, a school recommendation on letterhead with original signature, a life-objectives paragraph, one-page urgent-social-problem essay and two-page controversial-issue essay. Submit the complete package online or by mail; mail instructions include two stamped blank postcards. Confirm the correct cycle package because the linked instructions filename is 2020.
- What you'll need
- A separate scholarship application
- Who can apply
- Current posted academic criteria: dependent age 23 or younger, senior or full-time undergraduate at accredited college/university, 3.5 unweighted GPA, and more than half support from parent/guardian. The AMF section lists unmarried Air Force/ANG/AF Reserve children and says no officer dependents, but the shared FAQ admits Joint Services enlisted and commissioned-officer dependents and includes Space Force awards. Confirm the sponsor’s eligibility. AMF itself does not require association membership; separate AFSA awards do.
- Good to know
- Current named academic awards range $1000-$5000 and are funding-dependent; precise duration/renewal rules are not public. Optional special-circumstances material is described for CMSAF. This listing does not include the separate Barksdale trade-school award with different GPA and membership requirements.
