- $3,500 to $20,000 per one-year grant. Full-time undergraduates may apply again each year and compete again for selection.
- Deadline
- The 2027 application page says December 15, 2026 through February 16, 2027, both at noon Pacific Time. The foundation calendar gives conflicting November 14, 2026 through February 15, 2027 dates; confirm with TEF.
- How to apply
- Apply using the TEF-linked Kaleidoscope application when it opens. Submit the required essays, transcripts and service documentation specified in the form; PDF and other electronic attachments are accepted. SAT/ACT scores and recommendation letters are not required; optional letters should be signed and dated. Full private form questions are available on opening.

- Who can apply
- High school graduates accepted for undergraduate enrollment at an accredited college who are natural, step or adopted children or grandchildren of current or former U.S. Navy, Marine Corps or Coast Guard Naval Aviators, Naval Flight Officers or Naval Aircrewmen. Individuals who served aboard a U.S. Navy aircraft carrier and their children or grandchildren are also eligible.

- The public FAQ now verifies one-year grants and annual competitive reapplication, plus attachment and optional recommendation rules. Its date answer remains 2025-26. The 2027 page and calendar still disagree on both opening and closing dates.
