Marine Corps League National Scholarship

UnconfirmedScholarship

This is a real program, but some details for the current cycle are not published or not yet confirmed. Check the official source before you plan around it.

Award
Individual award amount is not yet announced. In 2026, all recipients were to receive the same amount, determined in October; awards required annual reapplication for up to four nonconsecutive years.
Deadline
2027 deadline not yet posted; the 2026 application was due July 21, 2026 (proof of enrollment due September 21, 2026).
How to apply
The 2026 process required emailed signed application and official final high school transcript showing graduation, or latest college semester transcript, with sponsor membership information and two unrelated officer certifications. Selected students then emailed the Student Data Sheet and official full-time enrollment confirmation. The 2027 form is not yet published.
What you'll need
  • A separate scholarship application
  • Membership in the sponsoring organization
Who can apply
The published 2026 rules covered paid Marine Corps League or Auxiliary members in good standing and their spouses, children, stepchildren, grandchildren or great-grandchildren, plus children of Marines, FMF Navy Corpsmen or Navy Chaplains serving with a Marine unit who were killed in action. Applicants needed a 3.30 cumulative unweighted GPA and full-time enrollment of at least 12 credits at an accredited undergraduate institution. First-degree, service-academy and next-cycle restrictions must be checked against the 2027 rules.
Good to know
The complete five-page 2026 application was reviewed. It excluded second bachelor’s degrees, graduate study and federal service academies, required PDF or scanned documents rather than photos, and paid awards directly to the college. These are prior-cycle terms.
