Point Foundation Flagship Scholarship

Merit + needScholarship

Financial need is part of how this award is decided, alongside merit.

Award
Awards up to $15,000, with a maximum of four years of support beginning in fall 2027. The public page does not explicitly state whether the amount is annual or give full continuation conditions.
Deadline
Flagship application due November 19, 2026 at 5 p.m. Pacific Time / 8 p.m. Eastern Time. The program page lists a September 9 opening without an explicit year. Semifinalists are invited for further materials in late January 2027.
How to apply
Create a new Point application account and profile, complete the requested online sections, submit and check the confirmation email. Provide the latest academic transcript with at least one year of graded coursework and a calculated GPA. One application can serve Flagship and Access, but each has its own deadline. Flagship semifinalists submit additional materials in January 2027; the full form is behind account access.
What you'll need
  • A separate scholarship application
Who can apply
LGBTQ+ students and allies who are at least high school seniors, enrolling full-time in a bachelor's, graduate, or professional program at an accredited not-for-profit U.S. institution (not 100% online), with a minimum 3.3 cumulative GPA.
Good to know
Financial need is considered with merit. Recipients attend an in-person summer conference and one virtual program per academic term. Students cannot receive two Point scholarships simultaneously, and prior recipients must have exited their former program in active status. Formal Point employee, board or volunteer relationships exclude applicants and immediate family. Online-only study, dual enrollment in 2027–28 and already receiving four Flagship years are excluded.
