Who can apply
U.S. citizens (all immediate family members must also be citizens; dual citizens ineligible) who are high school seniors at the time of application, minimum 2.75 GPA, with demonstrated leadership, studying fields such as foreign area studies, computer science, business, public administration, international relations, political science, STEM, engineering or intelligence analysis.
Good to know
Financial need is required. Students attend full-time during the academic year and work full-time over summer. The page states up to 18 months of post-graduation DIA service per sponsored academic year and a 3.0 GPA requirement for college freshmen and sophomores. Its senior 2.75 GPA and immediate-family U.S. citizenship requirements are specific to STOKES; different internship clearance rules must not be substituted.
