DirectoryScholarship

This is a group of awards reached through one application. Each award inside it has its own rules.

Award
Published 2026 merit awards range from $500 to $5,000; non-merit donor awards range from $500 to $1,000. Awards are for one year, with a new competitive application required for another year.
Deadline
2027 deadline not yet posted; the 2026 application closed May 8, 2026 at 11:59 PM PST.
How to apply
The published requirements include an online application, official transcript in English with GPA converted to a 4.0 scale, a 750–850-word personal statement, one faculty and one peer recommendation, professional color photo and a brief biographical sketch. Current requirements direct recommenders to private portal links and normally require applicants to upload transcripts themselves, with an exception if the school refuses to release them. The 2027 form is not published.
What you'll need
  • A separate scholarship application
Who can apply
The 2026 pages describe STEM or health degree study at accredited U.S. or territorial two- or four-year colleges. Merit awards generally require 3.0 GPA, while donor exceptions may allow lower GPAs. Citizen, resident, F-1 and DACA applicants may apply under specific sponsor rules; J-1 exchange students are excluded by the FAQ. High school senior eligibility depends on donor designations, and full-time versus part-time rules conflict across pages.
Good to know
The guidelines allow part-time enrollment but the FAQ requires full-time; the transcript GPA and recommendation delivery guidance also conflict. The FAQ cannot guarantee high school senior awards even for 2026. Recipients must attend the GMiS conference, with exceptions considered individually; registration and hotel support are listed but travel funding is not guaranteed. These are 2026 or undated terms, not confirmed 2027 rules.
