- High school seniors entering a U.S. four-year institution full-time in engineering, CS, CIS, business administration, finance or marketing; minimum 3.0/4.0 GPA; technology passion and leadership. International students eligible. Microsoft employees and their children excluded. Current criteria do not impose racial eligibility.

- Merit evaluation includes academics, leadership, activities, work, goals and recommendation; demonstrated financial need is mandatory. Current official administrator page is closed and has no next-cycle date. Do not attach historic deadlines to 2027.
