Award
Up to full cost of attendance through combined Daniels/partner-school funding; up to $25,000 per year at non-partner schools outside Colorado, New Mexico, Utah and Wyoming, or $7,500 per year inside that region. Four-year award with annual renewal.

Application period September 1 to October 15, 2026, closing at 4:00 p.m. MT.
How to apply
Register on the official scholarship portal. Semi-finalists provide essays, recommendation letters, qualifying scores, state-residency and citizenship/permanent-residency proof, the federal tax return listing them as a dependent, and FAFSA Submission Summary. Finalists interview; new scholars attend the June orientation conference.

Who can apply
Graduating high school senior residing in Colorado, New Mexico, Utah or Wyoming; U.S. citizen or permanent resident; at least 3.0 unweighted GPA. ACT at least 18 in each category or SAT Math at least 490 and Reading/Writing at least 490. Household claiming the student must have 2025 adjusted gross income no more than $100,000, with $10,000 allowance for each additional dependent and review of other assets. Attend an accredited nonprofit U.S. institution; two-year college is allowed when pursuing a bachelor’s degree, but trade/certificate programs are excluded.
Good to know
The current Class of 2027 page prominently states September 1 to October 15 at 4 p.m. MT, although its timeline cards appear out of order. The portal returns a loading/CSS error during public review. Full renewal standards and current form questions are not publicly readable.
